Empowering Residents Towards Employment in the Nuneaton & Bedworth, Rugby, Warwick, and Stratford on Avon council areas.
Jobs 22 is proud to partner with Warwickshire County Council to deliver the ‘Destination Work’ programme, an exciting new initiative designed to support people towards employment in four key boroughs. Funded through the UK Government's UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), this programme will provide targeted assistance to help individuals overcome barriers and move towards meaningful employment.
Running from 14 October 2024 to 31 March 2025, ‘Destination Work’ is set to benefit 172 residents aged 25 to 67. This personalised programme will help participants build employability skills, boost confidence, and ultimately secure employment.
A Local Approach to Employment Support
Jobs 22’s ‘Destination Work’ programme is aligned with the needs of Warwickshire’s evolving economy. In collaboration with Warwickshire Skills Hub and local partners, the initiative aims to create a well-skilled workforce by offering tailored support to those who need it most.
Collaborative Delivery Across Warwickshire
Jobs 22 will oversee the programme in Stratford and Rugby while trusted partners manage delivery in other areas. Pet-Xi will lead efforts in Warwick, with the Coventry and Warwickshire Community Development Agency (CWCDA) covering Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council area. Together, these organisations will offer a range of services, including:
Job clubs and workshops
Digital skills training
Financial literacy and soft skills sessions
Driving Results and Measurable Impact
With a goal of engaging 172 participants, ‘Destination Work’ will focus on increasing employability, accessing key support services, and securing employment. The programme will provide weekly one-to-one guidance, group activities, and employability training, helping participants overcome both personal and professional challenges.
Programme Features Include:
Personalised support from ‘Journey Guides’ who will help participants create action plans.
Confidence-building and job-matching workshops.
Access to specialised services, such as mental health support and travel training.
This programme is specifically designed for economically inactive residents, individuals not currently seeking work or claiming job-seeking-related benefits. Through this initiative, Jobs 22 and its partners are committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of Warwickshire residents.
