JOBS 22 WORKING WITH THE SHAW TRUST IN HERTFORDSHIRE AS PART OF GOVERNMENT’S £238M SCHEME FOR JOBSEEKERS

Jobs 22 is working with The Shaw Trust to mobilise the Government’s newly announced Job Entry Targeted Support (JETS) scheme in Hertfordshire.

The national scheme aims to boost the prospects of more than a quarter of a million people across Britain – and the Department for Work and Pensions says it is recruiting an additional 13,500 "work coaches" to help deliver it.

Interventions will include:

  • Re-building confidence and self-efficacy in Post Covid-19 environment (including support for anxieties about working in a Covid-19 environment with a peer support network, potential access to mental health and wellbeing support)

  • Advice and guidance for those wishing to change sector (e.g. building on the sector-based “Step Into” guides)

  • Employability support (including CV writing; application process, Interview techniques, including online interviewing).

  • Sector Route-ways, providing integrated accredited and non-accredited training for participants looking to change sectors.

  • Job Clubs sharing of targeted vacancies, providing sector-specific and geographical specific group sessions, with support to apply for vacancies.

  • Learning Support, providing wrap-around support to individuals undertaking accredited training, supporting them to overcome barriers and remain motivated.

  • Digital Upskilling, ensuring the highest percentage of participants on WHP Employment Support can access the digital services available, and preparing for the future workplace.
