Jobs 22 signs the Armed Forces Covenant  

Jobs 22 proudly pledges support to military personnel in the workplace.

Jobs 22 is proud to have received the Bronze Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). The Armed Forces Covenant promises that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and their families are treated fairly and respectfully in their workplaces and communities. More than 1500 organisations have signed the covenant, including all 407 local authorities in mainland Great Britain and four Northern Ireland councils. 

Ayden Sims, CEO of Jobs 22 and former RAF Officer, is delighted with the recognition from the ERS. He believes the covenant is key to ensuring the military communities get the support they need to succeed at work. 

"I strongly advocate the transferability of military skills and qualifications and the scope for rewarding careers after service. As a service-leaver who has worked extensively with veterans, I'm familiar with the challenges people face. Our vision is for Jobs 22 to be a place where we fully embrace the skills and qualities that veterans their families bring to our business, while supporting them to progress their careers.”

Jobs 22 will support the Armed Forces Covenant through the following activities: 

·        Promoting Jobs 22 as an Armed Forces-friendly and inclusive organisation and ensuring flexibility for employees who are part of the armed forces community 

·        Supporting members armed forces community to transition into meaningful employment through tailored support. 

·        Jobs 22's health and wellness services will support members of the Armed Forces to live healthy and balanced lives.

·        Build on our proven delivery model, which has delivered job success for thousands across the East Midlands, to help military personnel at all stages of their lives.  

Ayden concluded, "We're excited to demonstrate our support for the community and work diligently towards silver status and beyond."
