Connect to Work
Expression of Interest - Connect to Work
AKG UK is seeking expressions of interest from providers to work with us to deliver the Government’s Connect to Work programme being commissioned by Lead Accountable Bodies across England and Wales during 2025. Our EOI seeks to identify organisations able to provide high quality services, expertise and specialisms which could support the delivery of this service.
Summary of Connect to Work:
As a key pillar in the Government’s Get Britain Working Strategy, Connect to Work will support economically inactive people with disabilities, health conditions and with more complex barriers to find sustainable employment; and individuals in work but at risk of falling out of the labour market to retain their employment. Connect to Work is a voluntary programme and will be delivered using the evidence-based ‘place, train, and maintain’ Supported Employment Quality Framework and Individual Placement & Support (IPS) employment programme models . Further information about the service can be found in the Government’s Grant Guidance
Who We Are:
AKG UK are a group of service providers designing holistic person-centred programmes and services to support long term unemployed and disadvantaged individuals to achieve their employment, learning, health and wellbeing goals. AKG UK includes Jobs 22 Limited, an employment services provider delivering DWP’s Restart Scheme and UKSPF provision; Intuitive Thinking Skills, a lived experience recovery organisation delivering mental health, addiction support, behaviour change programmes and IPS to people with complex barriers; Healthfind, an allied healthcare team of clinicians delivering integrated health and wellbeing interventions for long-term unemployed people; and Learn Plus Us, a training provider delivering apprenticeships, ESOL for Work and employability skills. Together we support over 20,000 individuals per annum.
Our Approach:
Each Lead Accountable Body is at a different stage in development of their plans for the commissioning and delivery of the service. Therefore at this stage, we are open to explore all Connect to Work opportunities, to identify potential delivery partners, which will enable us to make more informed decisions on where and how we intend to bid, as more detailed information is made available by each Lead Accountable Body.
